The sales management and strategy consulting firm said Monday that Chaltas brings more than 25 years of shopper marketing and category management experience to MPG.

Chaltas started her career in the field at Procter & Gamble and then joined Meridian Consulting Group as a vice president. After that, she was founder and principal of sales and marketing specialist Interscope, which later was acquired by GfK, where she served as executive vice president of shopper and retail strategy.

Most recently, Chaltas led her own sales and marketing consultancy, Chaltas Associates.

“Alison is the perfect choice for leading the consulting side of our business,” MPG managing director Marc Greenberger stated. “At MPG, we’re honored to be a partner of choice for so many of our industry’s thought-leading manufacturers and retailers, and we are thrilled that Alison will now be leveraging her extensive experience building retail strategies and capabilities on behalf of MPG clients.”

As an Interscope founder and a vice president at Meridian, Chaltas proved to be a master at “connecting the dots” across diverse insights to develop innovative, data-driven shopper strategies and elevate clients’ ability to deliver brand goals via retail, MPG noted.

“MPG recommendations are both strategic and practical, and the company provides the capabilities and support clients need to successfully execute them,” Chaltas commented. “MPG’s work stands the test of the retail realities. We address both the manufacturer’s concerns and exceed the retailer expectations. That unique approach creates win-win opportunities for all.”
