IRVINE, Calif. — AmerisourceBergen Corp. and its Good Neighbor Pharmacy network will employ technology from PrescribeWellness to deliver and maintain the company’s new Patient Engagement Center.

The Patient Engagement Center is a key component of the new Elevate Provider Network that AmerisourceBergen announced late last month at its ThoughSpot 2015 event in Las Vegas. The premier-level offering, formerly known as the Pharmacy Services Administrative Organization, is designed to help independent pharmacies enhance patient care and improve profitability via better business practices and leverage centralized and patient adherence data to optimize reimbursement with payers.

PrescribeWellness’ solutions aim to elevate the community pharmacist’s role in providing coordinated care and preventative health services. The company said its software makes it easier for pharmacies to increase patient medication adherence, build a customer loyalty and provide extended services via an appointment-based model.

PrescribeWellness added that its solutions have been proven to improve a patient’s adherence to their medication and the pharmacy’s ratings in various performance measures.
