Bartell Drugs marks opening of 14th CareClinic

SEATTLE — The retail clinic rollout at Bartell Drugs continued with the opening of its 14th CareClinic by Kaiser Permanente location in Snoqualmie, Wash.

The Seattle-area drug chain said the new walk-in medical clinic, opened on Monday and operated by health care and benefits provider Kaiser Permanente, provides Snoqualmie and eastside residents with access to high-quality, convenient health care.

Situated at 35013 Snoqualmie Parkway, the clinic offers provide treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, immunizations and preventive care services from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.

Bartell Drugs and Kaiser Permanente, which opened a CareClinic last month in Gig Harbor, Wash., plan to add two more clinics by the year’s end. Another CareClinic is slated to open in August at the Redmond Town Center Bartell Drugs in Redmond, Wash.

“Bartell Drugs guests have told us they want the ability to get care and treatment as well as everyday necessities in one place,” John Lewis, director of CareClinic operations for Bartell Drugs, said in a statement. “That’s why we’re so excited to continue our expansion in order to offer our services to more communities around the region.”

CareClinics serve both Kaiser Permanente members and nonmembers, ages 2 and older. For those without health insurance coverage, the cost is $75 per visit for those without health coverage. CareClinic patients who are Kaiser Permanente members have their diagnosis and treatment plans included in their secure electronic health record and shared with their care teams. For patient with other insurance plans, CareClinic can share records with their primary care provider.

Bartell Drugs operates 67 stores in Washington’s King, Snohomish and Pierce counties. Overall, Kaiser Permanente serves 11.8 million members in eight states and the District of Columbia.
