The Seattle-area drug chain said a CareClinic by Kaiser Permanente opened on Monday inside the Bartell Drugs store at 11020 19th Ave. SE in Silver Lake-Everett, Wash.
Serving Everett and Snohomish County residents, the new CareClinic location will provide treatment for minor illness and injuries plus preventive services from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.
“Bartell Drugs guests have told us they want the ability to get care and treatment, as well as everyday necessities, in one place,” John Lewis, director of CareClinic operations for Bartell Drugs, said in a statement. “That’s why we’re so excited to continue our expansion in order to offer our services to more communities around the region.”
The Silver Lake clinic marks 12 CareClinics overall inside Bartell stores and is the second of a planned five locations that the drug chain and health care and benefits provider Kaiser Permanente plan to open this year.
Last month, a CareClinic by Kaiser Permanente location opened in Des Moines, Wash., and the next three are slated to open at Bartell stores in Gig Harbor in June and in Snoqualmie and Redmond Town Center this summer.
CareClinics are open to both Kaiser Permanente members and nonmembers ages 2 and older. Visits cost $75 for those without health coverage.
Administered by Kaiser Permanente care teams, health services include treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, and routine preventive care such as vaccinations. Kaiser Permanente members’ diagnosis and treatment plans are included in their secure electronic health record and can be shared with their care teams, enabling better coordinated care.
“Patients come to our CareClinics for quality and convenient care,” stated Kaiser Permanente clinician and CareClinic chief Michael Erickson. “We’ve proven that CareClinics live up to the promise of quickly diagnosing and treating common ailments. We get you in, taken care of and on your way for an affordable price.”
Overall, Bartell Drugs operates 65 pharmacy locations in Washington’s King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
