Dr. Hauschka achieves NATRUE certification

NEW YORK — Dr. Hauschka Skin Care has become 100% NATRUE Certified as the company marks its 50th anniversary in 2017.

The natural and holistic skin care brand said Wednesday that certification by NATRUE, an internationally recognized nonprofit association, ensures each product is formulated with raw materials derived from nature, minimally processed and free of synthetic fragrances, preservatives and dyes.

Dr. Hauschka display sign_CVSTo ensure the product’s safety and purity, each item must be free of petroleum-derived synthetics, ethoxylated (sodium laureth sulfate), genetic or nano-engineered ingredients, silicones, parabens, PEGs and phthalates, according to Dr. Hauschka. Finally, the certified companies must use environmentally responsible harvesting and processing, be free of animal testing and adhere to socially responsible business practices.

Dr. Hauschka noted that NATRUE has partnered with the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IOAS) to create the accreditation body of NATRUE Certifiers, who assess and verify the criteria. NATRUE certification establishes Dr. Hauschka and its manufacturer, WALA Heilmittel, as certified natural and organic by an internationally recognized organization, the company said.

Dr. Hauschka previously held BDIH product certification before transitioning to NATRUE certification.

Dr. Hauschka’s offerings include products for the face, body and bath, as well as natural mineral makeup and the new Dr. Hauschka Med collection of clinical skin and oral care. The brand said its flagship product is Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream, which has been embraced by beauty influencers, makeup artists and celebrities, such as Jennifer Aniston, Olivia Wilde, Mila Kunis, Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Taylor Schilling, Keri Russell and Mariska Hargitay.

Dr. Hauschka Skin Care products are available nationwide at retailers including CVS Pharmacy, Whole Foods Market and Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy.
