Johnson was Merck Customer Care’s U.S. Region chief customer officer.

“MPG has gained a great resource and leader in Rhonda,” said Marc Greenberger, the company’s managing partner. “She’s a dynamic, seasoned executive with strong cross-functional and international experiences and a proven track record in delivering strong business results and creating long-term value.

“At MPG, Rhonda is applying best practice learnings from her years of experience to help clients successfully tackle internal and external challenges and set themselves apart from the competition.”

Says Johnson, “Joining the MPG team provides the opportunity to work with amazing people and brands across a broad spectrum of categories, channels, and manufacturers. Utilizing my experiences to help a wide range of companies solve their business challenges is quite rewarding.”

At Merck, Johnson led customer engagement efforts including strategic account management, field and broker management, customer solutions, category and shopper strategy, sales administration and operations; and was responsible for shaping global selling strategies and aligning priorities around talent management initiatives across the commercial sales and marketing organizations.

Before assuming her position at Merck in 2011, Johnson was vice president of sales at Johnson & Johnson’s McNeil Nutritionals. She earlier held leadership roles at J&J, including national sales director.

She is first vice president of the Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association, and a member of its executive committee and board. She has served on the National Association of Chain Drug Stores’ Executive Retail Advisory Board.
