March 27th, 2013
TORONTO – Rexall has entered an agreement with News Marketing Canada to provide instant, print-at-home online coupons on its website.
Under the deal, announced Tuesday, Rexall's website will feature coupons from News Marketing Canada's SmartSource.ca Online Coupon Network, plus Rexall-exclusive coupons for a range of grocery and drug brands. The coupons are available now on Rexall.ca.
"It's important to Rexall to make the shopping experience easier through new programs and services," Jennifer Zedic, director of advertising and marketing at Rexall, said in a statement. "Our customers appreciate the added convenience and value of bringing online savings to Rexall.ca, and we're pleased to be working with News Marketing Canada to make this new coupon site possible."
The SmartSource technology lets Canadian shoppers choose the coupons they want online and immediately print them at home. News Marketing Canada said that in just over a year since its launch, SmartSource.ca has become one of Canada's leading destinations for savings, with more than 2 million coupons printed to date. SmartSource.com, its U.S. counterpart, has been in operation for over 10 years.
"We are thrilled to have Rexall join our SmartSource.ca Online Savings Network," stated Adam North, senior vice president at News Marketing Canada. "We have been longtime partners with Rexall through our in-store advertising and promotions, and we're looking forward to expanding this partnership into the online sphere."
Rexall, part of Katz Group Canada Ltd., has 430 drug stores in Canada under the Rexall and Rexall Pharma Plus banners.
