Hyland's promotes Hamilton to executive VP
July 19th, 2013
LOS ANGELES – Les Hamilton has been appointed executive vice president of Hyland's Inc. and vice president of sales for parent company Standard Homeopathic Co.
The homeopathic medicine manufacturer said Thursday that Hamilton, previously vice president of sales, will take a more active role in the executive leadership of the company. He also will continue to guide its sales organization in the food, drug and mass channels and natural markets.
"We are very pleased to have Les Hamilton expand his role with Standard Homeopathic Co. and Hyland's Inc.," stated Dale Nepsa, president of Hyland's. "Les has been a tremendous asset to the organization as we continue to gain category share. We look forward to more years of sales growth under his leadership."
Hamilton has more than 15 years of experience in the consumer products industry and in sales and marketing of over-the-counter drugs. He joined Hylands in October 2011 from The Emerson Group, where he served as field sales manager for seven years. While at Emerson, he managed accounts of all sizes, notably the Target Corp. business for all of Emerson's OTC products.
Before that, Hamilton held a variety of positions in almost 10 years at Target, including category manager for various pharmacy categories and all OTC private-label items.
"Over the last year and a half, I have seen Hyland's sales growth outpace the industry, due to the hard work of the entire Hyland's team and its efforts to provide consumers natural solutions to feeling better," Hamilton commented. "I feel honored to be leading such a great group of people and am excited to see where the next few years take us as we continue to offer our retail partners safe, effective and natural medicines that will help grow their business."
