Jennifer Lopez becomes L'Oreal brand ambassador

PARIS – Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez has been named as a global brand ambassador by L'Oreal Paris.
"We are more than excited to announce this new partnership with the sublime, iconic and multitalented Jennifer Lopez," commented Cyril Chapuy, global brand president for the beauty care and cosmetics giant. "Women everywhere admire not only Jennifer's beauty but also her charisma and her commitment. We are honored to welcome her to our amazing roster of spokespeople that represents in all its diversity, the beauty of today's woman. Jennifer will be the face of upcoming product innovations in makeup and haircare, as first campaigns."
Lopez is a Golden Globe-nominated actress, multiplatinum-selling recording artist, film and television producer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. "Having used L'Oreal Paris products most of my life, I'm excited to work with a brand that consistently offers a wide range of superior products that are attainable for women everywhere," she said in a statement. "I've always loved their sophisticated ad campaigns and am thrilled to represent a brand that embraces a woman's worth."
L'Oreal Paris USA president Karen Fondu pointed to Lopez's broad range of talent and accomplishments as making her a natural for the role of global brand ambassador. "Coupled with her obvious beauty, she is a modern role model for women and truly embodies the spirit of the L'Oreal Paris philosophy, 'Because You're Worth It.' We are delighted to welcome Jennifer into the L'Oreal Paris distinguished group of spokespeople," Fondu stated.
Other celebrity spokespeople for L'Oreal Paris include Milla Jovovich, Patrick Dempsey, Rachel Weisz, Beyonce Knowles, Diane Kruger, Evangeline Lilly, Andie MacDowell, Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto and Gerard Butler.
