Kao USA exec promoted to vice president of sales

December 20th, 2013

CINCINNATI – John Sullivan has been named vice president of sales at Kao USA.

The beauty care and personal care company said Friday that Sullivan, who will start in the new post Jan. 1, replaces Paul Nunnari, who has been appointed as president of Kao Canada.

In his new role, Sullivan will supervise Kao's mass-market sales organization, including field sales, customer marketing, shopper insights and sales operations. He will report to Kao USA president John Nosek.

"We are excited to have John assume his new role here at Kao USA," Nosek said in a statement. "Since joining Kao, he has had a significant impact on our business. We are fortunate to have someone with John's experience, track record of success and leadership to head our mass sales team."

Since coming to Kao in 2004, Sullivan has held leadership roles of increasing responsibility. He currently is senior director of sales strategies and effectiveness, leading the trade marketing and sales operations departments. With the promotion, he will become a member of the Kao USA management committee.

Kao's roster of brands includes Jergens and Curel hand and body lotions, Biore facial care, John Frieda hair care, Ban antiperspirants, Goldwell and KMS California professional hair care and Molton Brown products for the body and the home.
