PrescribeWellness establishes presence on East Coast
June 10th, 2014
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – PrescribeWellness, a provider of software-as-a-service (SaaS) medication adherence solutions for community pharmacies, has expanded to the East Coast with the opening of a new office in Cincinnati.
The company said Tuesday that it's now serving more than 1,000 pharmacies in 45 states and managing communications to their over 5 million patients.
PrescribeWellness noted that the new location will enable it to better serve existing and future partners 24/7.
"Our growth is in direct response to the demand we've been witnessing in the industry," according to Al Babbington, president and chief executive officer of PrescribeWellness. "We are thrilled to see community pharmacies responding to our solutions and experiencing this success. We are even happier to be providing them with the tools they need to not only thrive, but to excel in this evolving health care environment."
The opening of the new office comes in the walke of an active year for the company, including two new product launches — StarWellness and PeakWellness — and an upgrade to its LinkWellness dashboard/patient engagement system.
PrescribeWellness said the StarWellness program systematically improves medication adherence, Star ratings and medication synchronization, while the PeakWellness platform addresses more effective management of diabetes and other chronic diseases. The LinkWellness Dashboard 3.0 upgrade provides better workflow management and improved patient-provider communications.
"Every day, we witness the positive impact community pharmacy has on the patient population," Babbington added. "We have set our sites on continuing to provide them with the latest means and tools to create a path to improved medication adherence and create a healthier America."
PrescribeWellness' SaaS platform is designed to streamline workflow with the delivery of more efficient and effective preventive health care services, including medication compliance, chronic disease management, population health and transitional care services.
