Scope Dual-Blast leads bad breath crusade

CINCINNATI – Appearing at food festivals nationwide this summer, Scope has rolled out its latest collection of products with its new Dual-Blast technology, which is designed to eliminate strong food odors like onion and garlic while killing bad breath germs.
The Procter & Gamble mouthwash and oral rinse brand said Tuesday that the new offering — which includes Scope Dual-Blast mouthwash and Crest Complete Multi-Benefit Extra White + Scope Dual-Blast toothpaste — helps give people the confidence to enjoy all of their favorite, flavorful foods.
While on the road over the summer, Scope Dual-Blast was put to the test at food festivals around the country. Among the stops was the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Gilroy, Calif. — known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" — where visitors stopped by the Scope Dual-Blast booth to freshen up with new Scope Dual-Blast mouthwash and Crest Complete Multi-Benefit Extra White + Scope Dual-Blast toothpaste. Scope Dual-Blast also toured the country through September, stopping at 22 food festivals and football games.
In its crusade against bad breath, Scope also has teamed up with the Food Network's Sunny Anderson to show people they can breathe easy even after enjoying her most flavorful dishes, thanks to the new Dual-Blast technology, P&G said.
"Scope saved summer this year at food festivals throughout the country," commented Anderson, host of "Cooking for Real" on the Food Network. "With Scope's newest Dual-Blast technology, you won't have to avoid the bold flavors you love or worry about the aftertastes and odors they leave behind."
P&G noted that Scope Dual-Blast mouthwash and Crest Complete Multi-Benefit Extra White + Scope Dual-Blast toothpaste target the two main sources of bad breath: bad breath germs and food.
"The new Scope Dual-Blast mouthwash and Crest Complete Multi-Benefit Extra White + Scope Dual-Blast toothpaste feature the unique dual-action technology that not only kills 98 percent of bad breath germs, but the rinse blasts away strong food odors and the toothpaste helps to eliminate strong aftertastes so they won't be noticed," explained Dr. Veronica Sanchez, scientific communication, P&G Global Oral Care. "Our innovative Dual-Blast technology captures the odor-emitting volatile sulfur compounds from foods such as garlic and onions, helping to neutralize strong food odors in the mouth."
Scope Dual-Blast mouthwash and Crest Complete Multi-Benefit Extra White + Scope Dual-Blast toothpaste, which P&G recommends pairing with the new Oral-B Complete Scope Scented manual toothbrush, are a part of P&G Oral Care's new Complete product portfolio. The collection includes such other products as Crest Whitening Expressions, Scope Outlast mouthwash, Crest Extra Whitening toothpaste and Crest Plus Scope toothpastes.
