NACDS ups ROI for its members

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has unveiled plans for what it calls a “multimeeting, multimedia” program to deliver timely and actionable information to NACDS members and participants in the association’s meetings.
Called NACDS ECON 09, the program will feature expert presentations at the NACDS Retail Advisory Board Meeting this month, next month’s NACDS Annual Meeting, the NACDS Marketplace Conference in June, the NACDS Pharmacy and Technology Conference in September and the association’s Front-End Roundtable in December.
Executives say the presentations and other content will form the basis for white papers, NACDS.org online content and webinars throughout the year.
“The marketplace is changing quickly, and insights and information that are months old may be out of date,” president and chief executive officer Steve Anderson says. “NACDS ECON 09 deploys the NACDS meetings calendar and communications vehicles as consistent resources for cutting-edge information and knowledge.
“NACDS ECON 09 is a multimeeting, multimedia program that reflects our pledge that members will see the return on their investment in NACDS,” he stresses.
The new program is being developed with recommendations from the NACDS Retail Advisory Board, a group of retailers and suppliers that advise the association’s board of directors on issues critical to the industry and suggest ways to meet these challenges.
During its March meeting, the Retail Advisory Board will identify particularly relevant and timely content that will be incorporated into NACDS ECON 09, based on the landscape at that time.
Decisions will be made on an ongoing basis throughout the year to ensure that every NACDS meeting includes information that is timely and reflects the current state of
