Interactive, mobile features added to CVS.com

October 26th, 2009

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – CVS Caremark Corp. has added interactive and mobile features to its web site.

A spokesman says the new features enhance the user experience by providing instant access to prescription management tools, important health information and customer savings.

The creation of CVS.com Mobile (m.cvs.com) gives customers a secure, on-the-go pharmacy resource to find store locations and to refill, transfer or manage prescriptions, the company says.

CVS has also expanded its online capabilities by introducing Savings Central and Virtual Gift Cards features, adding what it says is convenience and value for customers.

“CVS/pharmacy is committed to providing customers with simple ways to manage prescriptions and easily access vital health care information on CVS.com,” says executive vice president and chief marketing officer Helena Foulkes.

“The new CVS.com Mobile site is a helpful resource for customers who rely on real-time access to their medication history or drug information, or who simply need driving directions to or the phone number of a nearby CVS/pharmacy or MinuteClinic.”

In addition, she says, the site’s Savings Central feature provides users with information on health care savings, deals and discounts.

CVS has also introduced Virtual Gift Cards, an interactive feature on cvs.com that lets customers personalize a virtual gift card by selecting color schemes, messages and fonts. They can upload a photo or image to enhance the card’s design.
