Executives at Katz Group say the company’s six Rexall Healthy Living stores are aimed at “helping Canadians live their healthiest.” Published reports late last month said Walgreen Co. is looking to sell its pharmacy benefit management (PBM) business and has hired an adviser to run an auction. The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) has turned to a trade association veteran with a proven track record to lead it into the future. While national drug chains are successful at what they do, there is another approach to pharmacy, says Kerr Drug president and chief executive Tony Civello.
