Key Brands said Haynes, the daughter of NFL Hall of Famer Mike Haynes, will oversee development of its brands, including it Haircare, Vital Care and JAX Premium Men’s Hair Care, which are sold at such retailers as Walmart, Walgreens and Bed Bath & Beyond.
Haynes has directed sales and marketing at U.S. and international companies, as well as consulted manufacturers and retailers in a range of industries, according to Key Brands. She brings more than 17 years of marketing and sales management experience to the company, including 10 years in executive management.
In addition, Haynes has led marketing strategies in working with The Trust (powered by the NFLPA), the NFL Players Association and obtaining brand exposure through the Super Bowl and Pro Football Hall of Fame.
“Vanessa has a deep understanding of retail markets, the manufacturing business and people. With this, she delivers full-picture strategies,” stated Harvey Vechery, president and chief executive officer of Key Brands, whose products include products shampoo, conditioner and hair spray.
The football connection also comes with the company’s JAX premium men’s hair brand, whose owners include onetime New England Patriots and Los Angeles Raiders star cornerback Mike Haynes and former Chicago Bears and L.A. Raiders star receiver Willie Gault, along with Vechery and senior vice president of sales and operations Scott Kapp.
