WARREN, Mich. — McKeon Products Inc. has expanded its hearing protection product lineup with the launch of Mack’s Flightguard Airplane Pressure Relief Earplugs.

McKeon said Friday that Mack’s Flightguard Airplane Pressure Relief Earplugs are designed specifically for today’s hectic travelers to provide flyers with a better, more comfortable flight experience. Developed by hearing protection specialists, the earplug’s performance has been proven by independent engineering assessments and extensive consumer testing, according to the company.

The Mack Flightguard’s PR3 Design provides both in-flight air pressure relief and noise protection. The product ushers in the first dual durometer pressure relieving earplug, McKeon said. Using two proprietary silicones, Mack’s Flightguard earplugs feature a soft, semi-rigid stem and super-soft seal rings to allow for easy insertion and extreme comfort. The clear stem also allows for discreet wear.

Through scientific pressure chamber testing and U.S. government-approved noise reduction standards testing, Mack’s Flightguard is proven to provide strong in-flight ear pressure relief and a high noise-reduction rating (26 decibels), both of which improve the flight experience, McKeon noted. The PR3 Design earplugs are designed to address three of the most common complaints when flying: ear pain from cabin pressure changes, airplane noise, and pain from hard, low-quality earplugs.

In independent research, McKeon said, consumers noted that the product did exactly what it said it would do. It was easy to use, relieved air pressure discomfort and was comfortable to wear. They also noted that the earplugs improved their flight experience, were better than other products they have used, and that they would recommend this product to others.
