Retail News Breaks Archives Rosato named NACDS Foundation presidentJune 30th, 2009  Edith Rosato, NACDS ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Edith Rosato has been elected president of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation, the association said Tuesday. Rosato, RPh, IOM, senior vice president of pharmacy affairs at NACDS, succeeds Philip Schneider, who retired from the foundation and the association earlier this year.
As NACDS Foundation president, Rosato will oversee and execute staff responsibilities for the foundation's initiatives, including pharmacy student scholarships and research related to pharmacy and patient care in the public interest.
Earlier this month, Rosato moderated a congressional briefing in which pharmacy advocates and experts explained to lawmakers how medication therapy management (MTM) can play a key role in health care reform by helping to improve patient care and mitigate costs.
Rosato has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmacy profession and the pharmaceutical industry. Before joining NACDS in 2000, she held senior positions at at Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals. She also served as a corporate pharmaceutical buyer for CVS Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist manager for Thrift Drug and CVS.
