CVS launches free gift promotion for loyalty card holders

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – CVS Caremark Corp. has kicked off its second annual "See What's Free" campaign, in which ExtraCare loyalty card holders can receive a free gift for shopping in CVS/pharmacy stores.

To be eligible for the free "thank you" gift, customers just have to present their ExtraCare cards when making a purchase at a CVS store during the month. Then he or she will receive a coupon for a free product.

The instant reward coupon will appear on the receipt during each shopper's first visit in August. Each cardholder is eligible for one free gift coupon, the company said.

Customers have seven days to redeem their coupons from the printed date. The promotion runs through August 31.

The drug store chain said more than 50 million customers are eligible for the special ExtraCare promotion. Last year, ExtraCare cardholders received a total of more than $1.8 billion in earned Extra Bucks rewards, according to the company.
