CVS goes live with Beauty 360 web site
January 14th, 2010
The site creates an online retail presence for the Beauty 360 format, launched in November 2008.
WOONSOCKET, R.I. – CVS Caremark Corp. has launched an e-commerce web site for its Beauty 360 prestige beauty stores.
The company said Thursday that the site — which marks Beauty 360's online retail debut since the format's November 2008 launch — offers customers nationwide one-stop shopping for everyday health and beauty care necessities, including prescriptions, along with luxury beauty items from top brands through a shared shopping basket across both cvs.com and beauty360.com.
Beauty360.com offers prestige beauty favorites in the skin care, cosmetics, hair care and men's grooming categories from such brands as Vincent Longo, Philip B, Canyon Ranch, Freeze 24.7, Cargo, Bioelements, Neil George, Jack Black, Anthony Logistics for Men, Laura Geller, Paula Dorf and BORBA Cosmetics.
Beauty 360 shoppers can also participate in the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare Rewards program, which provides 2% money back on all purchases, among other benefits.
"CVS/pharmacy has always been a leader in beauty, and launching the Beauty 360 concept was a milestone for us in being able to provide our customers with greater access to the prestige beauty products they love," Mike Bloom, senior vice president of merchandising and supply chain for CVS/pharmacy, said in a statement. "With the introduction of e-commerce for Beauty 360, we are making shopping for these luxury beauty products more convenient for everyone — especially the nearly 6 million customers who visit cvs.com each month."
Beauty 360 stores are adjacent to select CVS/pharmacy locations and provide access to a broad assortment of prestige cosmetic, skin care, hair care, fragrance and grooming brands.
There are currently nine Beauty 360 locations — in Washington, D.C.; Ridgefield, Conn.; and Fresno, Mission Viejo, Palos Verdes, San Bruno, Scotts Valley, Shingle Springs and Yorba Linda, Calif. — and CVS said it plans to open additional locations throughout 2010.
