CVS Caremark refreshes its PBM website

May 3rd, 2011

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – CVS Caremark Corp. has relaunched its Caremark.com website to enhance the online experience for its pharmacy benefit management members.

The drug store and pharmacy services company said Tuesday that the updated Caremark.com site sports a new look plus improved functionality to help members quickly and easily manage their prescription benefits.

According to CVS Caremark, the revamped site is written in straightforward, easy-to-understand language and includes an updated registration process along with improved site navigation.

The smoother site navigation stems from user feedback, CVS Caremark said. New Caremark.com features that mae it easier for members to manage their prescriptions include Medication History, enabling members to see their past and current prescriptions in one place, and Easy Refills, which provides faster and easier ways to place orders, manage prescription alerts and use mobile applications.

Another key new feature is My Dashboard, a personalized dashboard that lets members set up a list of action items such as placing orders, identifying savings opportunities, updating their profile and viewing their medication history.

"The relaunch of Caremark.com is another example of our commitment to finding innovative and effective ways to engage our PBM members to help them make quality health care decisions," Tim Kurth, vice president of e-business at CVS Caremark, said in a statement. "The refreshed site design, use of member-focused language and a variety of new features make it even easier for our members to manage their prescriptions online, stay adherent to their medications and identify opportunities for increased savings."
