July 19th, 2011
LAS VEGAS – Adam Kmiec, director of social media at Walgreen Co., is slated to deliver a keynote address at the Digital World Expo this fall in Las Vegas.
Digital World Expo said Tuesday that Kmiec will share his perspective on the fast-evolving arena of digital and interactive content at the new media conference, which connects the nation's top digital marketers. It runs Sept. 25 to 27.
Kmiec leverages social media platforms and channels to connect Walgreens' 5.9 million daily customers with their 250,000 employees, the conference organizer said, adding that for nearly 14 years he has worked for some of the world's most forward-thinking organizations and helped some of the most dynamic brands find success in the interactive and social spaces, such as BMW, Nikon and the U.S. Army.
His career spans both the client and agency sides of the marketing and advertising sectors, including at such renowned organizations as Fallon, Leo Burnett and ConAgra Foods.
"I'm looking forward to speaking at the premiere Digital World Expo," stated Kmiec. "I'm hoping to challenge people's preconceived notions about the methods of doing business in today's media."
Keynoters at the Digital World Expo will emphasize the future of digital media and their own expectations on how it will impact both consumers and media professionals.
"Conversations with Adam often flow into bold perspectives about today's media," commented Shawn Rorick, the event's founder. "We expect to hear some profound assessments of where he believes our near future will take us."
