MIAMI – Navarro Discount Pharmacy has opened its 32nd store, located in Kendall, Fla.
The Hispanic-owned drug chain said Thursday that the 23,500-square-foot store, on S.W. 88th Street in Kendall, sports new colors and enhanced signage in English and Spanish, plus wider aisles, a fragrance section with added light boxes, and more products in the refrigerated food and dairy section.
Unique offerings for customers include a pediatric window for busy parents, compounding pharmacy services, a free Diabetes Club for adults and children with diabetes, a Mommy and Me club, and free prescription delivery.
"The Kendall store has several new departments, including a garden center, staffed copy center and a cafeteria," Guillermo Mestre, manager of the Kendall store, said in a statement.
As at other Navarro locations, the Kendall store offers free prescription delivery.
Also available in the new drug store are Navarro's signature products for Hispanics, including Café La Llave Expresso coffee and Fabuloso multipurpose cleaner as well as popular brands such as Valentini, El Sembrador and La Fe.
The chain's Vida Mia store-brand products, which have labels in English and Spanish, are also offered throughout the store in such categories as baby, beauty, food, household, health and over-the-counter items.
At the store's grand opening, the first 100 customers received a free Navarro reusable bag filled with products. The retailer also conducted free product sampling throughout the day and offered free blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol and weight screenings as well as a mini wine festival.
"The new store in West Kendall is well-positioned in the Kendale Lakes Plaza among other discount brand retailers," stated Juan Ortiz, president and chief executive officer of Navarro Discount Pharmacy. "We are also pleased to return to the Kendall area and meet the demands of the community looking for Navarro's everyday low pricing and unique assortment."
