NACDS: Total Store Expo exhibit space filling up fast
January 16th, 2014
ARLINGTON, Va. – The National Association of Chain Drug Stores reported that 90% of the exhibit hall space is sold out for the 2014 NACDS Total Store Expo.
NACDS said Wednesday that the strong Total Store Expo exhibitor activity comes eight months before the kickoff of the trade show and conference, which runs Aug. 23 to 26 at the Boston Convention Center.
"The inaugural NACDS Total Store Expo really hit the mark with the value and high-caliber opportunities that the event provided for attendees," NACDS president and chief executive officer Steve Anderson said in a statement. "As we look ahead to this year's event, you can already feel the energy building, which is reflected in the fact that exhibit space is 90% sold out — and it is only January."
The 2013 Total Store Expo drew more than 5,000 attendees during its four-day run in Las Vegas last August. NACDS said poll results from the event showed that 92% of attendees plan to return for the 2014 trade show.
NACDS noted that registration for the 2014 Total Store Expo is now open industrywide. The association previously opened registration to attendees of last year's event, giving them a head start on their meeting plans.
The 2013 Total Store Expo marked the debut of the new NACDS event after more than two years of strategic planning. The expo combines the former NACDS Marketplace Conference, NACDS Pharmacy & Technology Conference and NACDS Supply Chain & Logistics Conference into one comprehensive event.
"The feedback from last year's attendees demonstrated that the cross-industry approach to doing business in a new way was not only very successful but also necessary for the industry, which is ever-evolving," according to Anderson.
Also at the 2013 expo, NACDS introduced NACDS-TV, which captured the inaugural event through interviews, highlights and features, providing attendees a snapshot of the wide-ranging trade show and strategic exchange. The association added that over the coming months, NACDS-TV coverage will build on the momentum from last year and include updates about what attendees can expect this year.
"The 2014 NACDS Total Store Expo will deliver on its commitment to provide attendees with innovative, cutting-edge programming and opportunities that focus on retailers' and suppliers' needs," Anderson added.
