AmerisourceBergen sets ThoughtSpot community pharmacy show

February 19th, 2014

CHESTERBROOK, Pa. – AmerisourceBergen Drug Corp. (ABDC) plans to hold its annual community pharmacy trade show, ThoughtSpot 2014, on July 30 to Aug. 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The drug wholesaler said registration is now open for the event, which is slated to be attended by thousands of independent pharmacists from ABDC's Good Neighbor Pharmacy national network and elsewhere, along with more than 250 exhibitors from across the pharmaceutical supply chain.

The event will offer education about new tools and services to help community pharmacists manage the vast changes in health care, better compete in today's challenging environment, and enhance the quality of patient care and safety.

Attendees also can take advantage of buying opportunities from a variety of exhibitors offering special pricing incentives, as well as network with peers during planned events and programs.

Robert Irvine, the host of the hit Food Network television shows "Dinner: Impossible" and "Restaurant: Impossible," will be the special guest speaker in ThoughtSpot's general session. Sharing insight on his practices, Irvine will focus on ways that independent pharmacies can revitalize locations, control inventory and improve their business offerings and customer service.

More information on the trade show and online registration are available at ThoughtSpot2014.com.

"We have a long-standing commitment to our customers, independent community pharmacies, because we believe in the personalized care they provide to patients," A.J. Caffentzis, senior vice president of sales and marketing for ABDC, said in a statement. "We support pharmacies with programs and services that offer unparalleled knowledge, reach and partnership in caring for patients. ThoughtSpot 2014 reinforces our dedication to this practice, our Good Neighbor Pharmacy members and how AmerisourceBergen is helping to shape health care delivery."
