Brunet urges online pharmacy signups for charity
February 26th, 2014
QUEBEC CITY, Quebec – Brunet drug stores are encouraging customers to enroll in its MaSanté online personal pharmacy account to help benefit the Children's Wish Foundation.
The Quebec pharmacy chain said Tuesday that the fourth Brunet-Children's Wish Provincial Tour, presented with Apotex, will run from March 10 to May 9, during which time its ambassadors will invite people to sign up for the MaSanté program free in the 154 Brunet pharmacies throughout the province. For each signup, $1 will be donated to the foundation.
MaSanté enables customers to consult their pharmacy record via the Brunet website as well as refill their prescriptions, set up medication reminders and manage the records of their family members.
The Children's Wish Foundation provides children ages 3 to 17 with life-threatening illnesses the opportunity to realize their most heartfelt wish.
"Given the success of our last three tours, we have decided to get involved with the foundation once again to bring happiness to the children it helps," stated Luc Martinovitch, vice president and general manager, McMahon Distributeur Pharmaceutique, the Metro Richelieu Inc. division that operates Brunet. "This year, we have chosen to sponsor the wish of 9-year-old Milane, who has lymphatic cancer. Her dream of returning to the Walt Disney theme park has helped her through difficult times in her treatment. On behalf of all the pharmacists in the Brunet family, I'd like to applaud her exceptional courage. I hope she enjoys this very well-deserved trip."
Brunet operates a network of nearly 200 drug stores in Quebec under the Brunet, Brunet Plus, Brunet Clinique and Clini Plus banners.
