Lewis Drug buys pair of pharmacies

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Lewis Drug reportedly has acquired two Throndset Pharmacy locations in South Dakota.

The Sioux Falls-based regional drug chain has purchased Throndset's stores in Jackson and Lakefield, S.D., according to a report Wednesday by the Lakefield Standard

Plans call for Lewis Drug to start operating the pharmacies on April 7, the report said.

Currently, Lewis Drug has 35 pharmacies in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota, including two long-term care locations.
