Former CVS exec Price joins Edible Arrangements

May 19th, 2014

WALLINGFORD, Conn. – Former CVS/pharmacy chief marketing officer Robert Price has joined Edible Arrangements International as president.

Edible Arrangements, a franchisor of shops selling fresh fruit arrangements, said Monday that Price comes to the company as it ramps up product innovation and expansion to boost the brand's global presence.

With more than $500 million in systemwide sales last year, Edible Arrangements operates over 1,100 stores worldwide.

"This is a tremendous opportunity," Price said in a statement. "Edible Arrangements is a company with an impressive record of innovation, dedicated franchisees and world-class technology. I am excited to work with [founder and chief executive officer] Tariq [Farid] and the Edible Arrangements team to help the company reach its full potential."

CVS Caremark Corp. had confirmed in April that Price left the company to pursue other opportunities.

At CVS/pharmacy, Price most recently held the titles of senior vice president and chief marketing officer, overseeing marketing, advertising, sales promotion, e-commerce, customer insights, store design and customer loyalty programs for the drug chain. He had been with CVS since December 2006.

Before CVS, Price held positions with Wawa Food Markets, H-E-B, Imasco (the former parent company of Hardee's and Roy Rogers restaurants), and consulting firm The Monitor Co.
