CAMP HILL, Pa. — Through January 23, Rite Aid is celebrating the New Year by offering members in the wellness+ with Plenti program a special opportunity to begin accumulating Plenti points for 2016, in addition to regular weekly offers.

Customers can earn 1,000 Plenti points on every $30 spent on featured products in stores or online at www.riteaid.com.

To participate, members of the free wellness+ with Plenti program can look for the yellow “2016 Starting Points” tag on store shelves. These points can be used for at least two years on future savings at Rite Aid and Plenti partners.

“As we kick off 2016, we wanted to give our most loyal customers an opportunity to get a jump-start on earning Plenti points in the new year,” said John Learish, Rite Aid senior vice president of marketing. “By participating in our 2016 Starting Points promotion, our customers will have the opportunity to earn thousands of Plenti points while shopping for everyday items. For every $30 spent, our shoppers will earn 1,000 Plenti points, worth at least $10 in savings for future purchases.”

With over 13,000 products included in the promotion, shoppers can earn starting points on items across the store such as beauty, first aid, vitamins, personal care, home goods, and food and beverage.

New and existing wellness+ members can now sign up for wellness+ with Plenti at any Rite Aid store nationwide or online at www.riteaid.com/plenti. Once enrolled, members of wellness+ with Plenti will earn Plenti points on featured items they buy.

In spring 2015, Rite Aid expanded its wellness+ loyalty program with the chainwide rollout of Plenti, the coalition rewards program that the drug chain joined earlier in the year.

Plenti is operated by US Loyalty, a division of American Express. US Loyalty issues the Plenti rewards and oversees the program’s central marketing activities in tandem with the participating companies.

Along with Rite Aid, Plenti’s lineup of partners includes American Express, which will run the program, and Macy’s, ExxonMobil, AT&T, Nationwide, Direct Energy, Hulu and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Each of the partners is the exclusive provider in its business segment.

Rite Aid is the exclusive drug store partner in Plenti, described as the first U.S.-based coalition loyalty program when announced in mid-March. Plenti members can use a single card to earn and redeem points for purchases at all of the participating merchants, regardless of the payment method.
