Sav-Mor Drug Store enlists Digital Pharmacist

AUSTIN, Texas — Regional pharmacy chain Sav-Mor Drug Store has tapped connected health specialist Digital Pharmacist Inc. to power its digital products.

Digital Pharmacist said that, through its platform, Sav-Mor pharmacy patients can now refill and manage their medications via Sav-Mor-branded web, email, mobile or text messaging products.

“We needed a more comprehensive digital marketing platform to help better serve our patients,” Sav-Mor Drug Store president Yvonne Gallagher said in a statement. “The Digital Pharmacist platform was the most comprehensive offering on the market, enabling us to stay connected with our patients through the web, mobile app, social media and text messaging.”

Southfield, Mich.-based Sav-Mor has 65 drug stores in Michigan and throught its pharmacy services administration organization (PSAO) serves 150 affiliate pharmacy locations in 28 states.

Digital Pharmacist noted that its customizable product suite helps Sav-Mor patients as well as pharmacists save time. The Sav-Mor mobile app provides prescription refill and medication reminder functionality, helping to increase patients’ medication adherence, the technology company said.
