Cobalis to form retail marketing unit for PreHistin

IRVINE, Calif. – Cobalis Corp., maker of the over-the-counter PreHistin Allergy Defense Formula, has entered into a distribution partnership with OTM LIC Inc. to facilitate the creation of a retail marketing and distribution division.
Cobalis said Tuesday that OTM will help manage the new division and assist it in launching PreHistin, its flagship product, to national chain pharmacies, mass retailers and convenience stores.
Plans call for OTM principals John Legge and Jeff Dole, based out of Cobalis' new headquarters in Irvine, Calif., to lead a major national retail marketing program to place PreHistin on retail shelves coast-to-coast by the end of the year or sooner, according to Cobalis. The company said OTM will represent PreHistin to U.S. retail targets — as well as any future products Cobalis may develop or acquire — and Legge and Dole will also present PreHistin at trade shows and expos where retailers preview and place orders for new products.
Under the agreement, Cobalis will also receive 25% of all net revenue that OTM generates from all current and future products represented.
"Retail has always been a core priority for marketing PreHistin. We believe that PreHistin represents a unique alternative to after-the-fact antihistamines for the 60+ million seasonal and year-round allergy sufferers in the U.S.," Cobalis chief executive officer Marty Marion said in a statement. "Our ability to enable consumers to find PreHistin on their local pharmacy and retailers' shelves will greatly enhance our ability to establish PreHistin as a nationally accepted brand. We are very pleased to have created a dedicated retail marketing division and to have engaged John Legge and Jeff Dole to spearhead our success in achieving this goal as quickly as possible."
PreHistin Allergy Defense Formula, dubbed by Cobalis as "The World's First Pre-Histamine," is designed to mitigate overproduction of IgE levels and restore a normal response to seasonal and year-round indoor and outdoor allergens.
"OTM's strong relationships and expertise in retail marketing will enable us to hit the ground running and obtain substantial sales for PreHistin in the U.S. retail market," OTM president Legge commented. "Our initial discussions and presentations have already generated a high level of interest from a number of major national retailers. PreHistin is a very unique and effective product that we believe will meet with great success at the retail level.
