Little Fevers introduced by Prestige Brands

August 11th, 2010

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Expanding its Little Remedies line of pediatric products, Prestige Brands has unveiled Little Fevers concentrated infant drops with acetaminophen.

The company said Tuesday that the new fever/pain reliever is the 25th product in the Little Remedies over-the-counter lineup for infants, toddlers and children.

Little Fevers is indicated for the treatment of temporary fever and minor aches and pains that may be associated with the common cold, flu, headache, sore throat or toothache. Prestige said the product is specially formulated to provide small concentrated doses for easier administration and that, like all Little Remedies products, it contains no artificial flavors or colors, no alcohol, no saccharin and no gluten.

"The recent recalls of certain children's analgesic products have left a void in available over-the-counter treatments for fever and minor pain relief," Jean Boyko, Ph.D., senior vice president of science and technology for Prestige Brands, said in a statement. "Little Fevers is now available nationally to provide parents with the active ingredient they need in a trusted brand name. And it's always good advice to check with a health care professional if parents or caregivers have questions about specific treatment options."

Other OTC products offered by Prestige include Chloraseptic sore throat treatment, Clear Eyes eye care products, Compound W wart remover, The Doctor's NightGuard dental protector and the New Skin liquid bandage.
