Carmex launches its first tinted lip balm

August 24th, 2010

MILWAUKEE – Carma Laboratories Inc. has unveiled two new Carmex Moisture Plus ultra-hydrating lip balms with tints of color.

The company said Tuesday that the product's sheer pink and sheer peach hues mark the first time that the Carmex brand has added color to its lip care products.

Carmex Moisture Plus lip balm's satin gloss finish provides a hint of peach or pink color. The premium, ultra-hydrating lip balm with a slant tip applicator is designed to provide intense moisturizing with vitamin E, aloe, shea butter and avocado butter and offers SPF 15 sun protection.

Carma said the new lip balm products are becoming available this month for $2.99 each at Walgreens and Walgreens.com.

"In our nearly 75-year history, these are our first tinted products, and we are very excited about them," Paul Woelbing, president of Milwaukee-based Carma Laboratories, said in a statement. "They are an affordable way for women to give their lips intense hydration with a slight hint of color."

The new Moisture Plus tints join the Carmex family of products, including original Carmex Moisture Plus ultra-hydrating lip balm, which provides a clear, satin gloss finish. Carmex lip balm is available in a jar, a tube or a stick, as well as in several flavors and with sun protection.
