7UP unveils enhanced flavor, packaging

PLANO, Texas – 7UP has upgraded its taste and packaging with what it said is an "even more crisp, clean, 100% natural lemon-lime flavor and a new look.

The Dr. Pepper Snapple Group soft drink brand said Wednesday that the "UPgrade" also will be promoted in new "Ridiculously Bubbly" television commercials featuring actor and comedian David Spade as "the newest un-bubbly character to be transformed by the new, crisp, clean taste of 7UP."

According to the company, the new graphics will be featured on all pack sizes and flavors and will hit stores this month.

"7UP knows our fans love the great lemon-lime taste of the original uncola, and we're always looking for ways to improve their flavor experience and win over more taste buds," stated Dave Falk, director of marketing for 7UP. "We've added more 100% natural lemon-lime flavor to deliver the authentic crisp, clean taste consumers told us they wanted."

The 30-second and 15-second TV spots are airing now nationwide, the company said.
