Lansinoh acquires mOmma baby products brand

January 5th, 2011

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Lansinoh Laboratories Inc. has acquired the Italy-based mOmma brand of developmental baby feeding products and accessories.

Lansinoh said Wednesday that the deal, terms of which weren't disclosed, marks the company's latest move to broaden its line of breastfeeding products and baby accessories to meet the needs of parents and their developing babies.

According to the company, mOmma products have been developed with unique educational design features and the latest BPA-free technology.

Designed with round shapes, the products are ergonomic for a baby's hands to manage, and they feature a rocking movement that captures a baby's attention and stimulates curiosity. The design is intended to cater to a baby's changing needs during various phases of growth and development.

"We are excited to bring mOmma technology, innovation and design to parents and babies in the United States," stated Kevin Vyse-Peacock, chief executive officer of Lansinoh. "MOmma products bring fun and encourage motor skill development and discovery. Our heritage of serving the needs of breastfeeding mothers and babies aligns with the dedication and culture of mOmma. Parents and babies can now grow with Lansinoh and mOmma with a complete, first-class feeding and accessories product portfolio."
