PreHistin Allergy Defense Formula set to hit stores
January 13th, 2011
IRVINE, Calif. – Cobalis Corp. next month plans to begin the retail rollout of PreHistin Allergy Defense Formula, which it dubs "the world's first pre-histamine."
The company said Wednesday it has received a purchase order for PreHistin from one of the nation's leading chain pharmacies, along with opening orders from several other national and regional health care product distributors and retailers, signaling the launch of PreHistin's national retail marketing campaign.
Plans call for the delivery of PreHistin to start in mid-February, which Cobalis said will enable the over-the-counter product to appear on pharmacy shelves in time for the spring allergy season.
PreHistin Allergy Defense Formula is designed to help rebalance the immune system to lower allergen antibody IgE levels and regulate the release of symptom-linked histamine, which is connected to the onset of symptoms such as sneezing, itchy watery eyes, runny nose and nasal congestion, according to Cobalis. The cherry-flavored lozenge is dissolved under the tongue and then swallowed twice a day for 21 to 30 days, usually before the pollen season. PreHistin has no known side effects, is 100% nondrowsy and has no contraindications with any other medications, the company said.
"We are extremely proud that one of the nation's most prestigious and respected health care retailers has selected PreHistin Allergy Defense Formula to be part of its line of consumer health care pharmacy products," stated Martin Marion, chief executive officer of Cobalis. "We will put a major effort behind supporting these retailers, driving consumers to the pharmacies, and to bring the PreHistin message aggressively to the more than 60 million Americans who suffer needlessly from seasonal and year-round allergies."
Cobalis said it plans to support its retail sales program by airing 30- and 60-second television commercials in top market cities announcing that PreHistin is now available at pharmacies. The spots will feature leading allergist and clinical researcher Dr. Paul Ratner, who will explain that "PreHistin can help allergy sufferers reset their body's normal response to seasonal and year-round allergens — which is no allergic response at all," distinguishing the product from current "after-the-fact antihistamines," according to Cobalis.
And in the next few weeks, the company aims to unveil a new online marketing web site network.
