Nordic Naturals simplifies fish oil supplementation
January 25th, 2011
WATSONVILLE, Calif. – Nordic Naturals has introduced Daily Omega, designed to provide an easy solution for consumers concerned about which type of product to take regularly to address their need for omega-3 essential fatty acids.
Recommended by doctors, Daily Omega provides simple and direct structure/function claims for easy identification, assisting customers with their choice of product, Nordic Naturals said Tuesday.
The Daily Omega line includes three products: Daily Omega with vitamin D3, for a healthy heart, offering over 500 mg of the omega-3s EPA and DHA in just one lemon-flavored soft gel; Daily DHA for healthy brain and mood, providing 450 mg of DHA in just one strawberry-flavored soft gel; and Daily Omega Kids for brain and visual function, serving up 275 mg of the omega-3s EPA and DHA in one chewable, strawberry-flavored soft gel.
"Consumers have a large variety of products to choose from when it comes to omega-3 fatty acids, and this can be quite confusing. Daily Omega makes this choice easy by offering three concentrated formulas — two for adults and one for children — where only one soft gel is required daily to support optimal health and wellness," explained Corinna Bellizzi, retail division sales manager for Nordic Naturals.
The company noted that the Daily Omega line, now available to retailers worldwide, is verified by third-party testing and offers the same high-quality standards in purity, freshness and safety that all the Nordic Naturals products offer, including the highly absorbable, natural triglyceride form.
Compliance and convenience are key differentiators for the new line as each product provides a concentrated dose of EPA and DHA in just one tasty soft gel, made with 100% natural fruit flavors, according to Nordic Naturals.
"Bringing forward a new definition of fish oil quality as it relates to purity, freshness, taste, dosage and sustainability, Nordic Naturals is always innovating and finding markets locally and globally to fulfill our mission of correcting the omega-3 deficiency around the world," stated Bellizzi.
