LifeStyles expands premium condom collection

RED BANK, N.J. – Ansell Healthcare Products has extended its LifeStyles Signature Collection condom line with three new designs.

The company has introduced the new WYLD, THRYLL and SKYN Large, which join its existing SKYN, THYN and KYNG products to round out the brand's premium Signature Collection of products.

According to Ansell, LifeStyles THRYLL Premium Studded Condom allow users to "feel the intensity, not the condom." With over 100 raised rubber "studs" all around the condom, THRYLL provides increased friction and stimulation, intensifying pleasure for both partners. The condom also is specially lubricated for maximum pleasure and glide, and it's packaged in a high-gloss, embossed design.

The WYLD Premium Ribbed Condom, meanwhile, is designed to provide intense stimulation and offers a unique shape that Ansell said is "unlike any other condom on the market." Loosely shaped for a more natural feel for the man and with a ribbed texture to increase stimulation for the woman, the new WYLD condom features long-lasting UltraGlide lubricant to help extend pleasure for both partners. It comes packaged in a high-gloss, metallic foil box.

And based on consumer demand and customer feedback, LifeStyles has released SKYN Large, which combines the strength of premium latex with the sensitivity of an ultra-thin condom for the man who needs a larger fit, according to Ansell. The product expands the SKYN line, which was introduced in 2009 as the first clinically-tested polyisoprene condom, Ansell said.

A 12-count package for each of the LifeStyles condom products in the Signature Collection carries a suggested retail price of $13.99 to $16.99, according to the company.

"Constantly striving to bring sexually active consumers the most advanced products on the market, LifeStyles is thrilled to expand our premium Signature Collection of products to offer users what they desire most: greater sensitivity, enhanced stimulation and, quite frankly, better sex," commented Carol Carrozza, vice president of marketing for Ansell Healthcare Products. "We conduct rigorous consumer research, asking users what they want from a condom. We then design products in response to their needs."

The release of these new Signature Collection products also marks a brandwide packaging change, Ansell noted. All LifeStyles Condoms products are moving from 5th panel horizontal format to vertical packaging format (with the exception of the three-count boxes). The company said the change will make it easier for retailers to restock and for consumers to quickly choose their product. Vertical packaging also frees up room on shelves, allowing for up to a 25% increase in SKU facings. In addition, the change is a sustainable initiative, reducing packaging since the 5th panel hang tab is no longer necessary in the new format.
