Help Remedies names senior VP of sales

NEW YORK – Mark Cieslinski has been appointed senior vice president of sales at Help Remedies Inc.
The over-the-counter medicine brand said Monday that Cieslinski brings more than 20 years of sales, marketing and new business development experience from The Mentholatum Co. and General Mills Inc.
Most recently, Cieslinski served as vice president of marketing and sales for the U.S. division at Mentholatum, a post he held for the past eight years. Before that, he performed business planning and sales functions at General Mills. Help Remedies also noted that Cieslinski has been active for years in the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and the Consumer Healthcare Products Association.
"We are excited to have Mark's energy, enthusiasm and retail partnership experience as we expand on a national level," Help Remedies chief executive officer Richard Fine said in a statement. "His innovative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit is a natural fit with our culture."
Founded in 2008 by Fine and Nathan Frank, Help Remedies is an OTC pharmaceutical brand that the company said "hopes to make health care as approachable and understandable as it should be." Using innovative, sustainable packaging with a minimalist design, Help Remedies noted that it offers pared-down, single-ingredient drugs without coatings and dyes.
Dubbed as "simple solutions for simple problems," Help Remedies offerings include products for such ailments as headaches, body aches, allergies, sleep issues, cuts and blisters. The products are currently available at Duane Reade, Pharmaca and some Target stores, and the company said it plans to expand its distribution with major national retailers in the coming year.
