SinuCleanse adds on-the-go nasal wash

July 22nd, 2011

MADISON, Wis. – Med-Systems Inc. has expanded its nasal washing product line with the SinuCleanse NetiCap, which enables users to turn most water bottles into an instant, on-the-go neti pot.

The sinus and congestion relief product maker said this week that the twist-on, comfortable SinuCleanse NetiCap comes in a package of two and includes instructions for use and 10 natural, pharmaceutical-grade saline packets. The NetiCap carries a suggested retail price of $4.99.

Med-Systems noted that the SinuCleanse NetiCap is perfect for traveling or when sinus issues develop away from home.

"As the creators of the nasal washing category in 1997, we are continually looking for innovative and all-natural solutions to help relieve sinus symptoms," Dave Gallo, founder and chief executive officer of Med-Systems, said in a statement. "More and more consumers are embracing the neti pot as a solution for their sinus congestion. The NetiCap product is an evolution of this product, allowing for simpler and more convenient use."

SinuCleanse saline packets are an all-natural way to quickly relieve congestion and sinus symptoms without drug interactions or drug side affects, according to Med-Systems. The company said recent studies show that regular use of the SinuCleanse products may reduce the duration and frequency of sinus, cold and flu symptoms.

"Saline washes have proven to be effective for easing nasal discomfort, congestion, allergies, sinus headaches and runny noses," commented Diane Heatley, M.D., developer of the SinuCleanse nasal wash system and associate professor of surgery and pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison, Wis. "This new, on-the-go version will allow for easy, safe and immediate nasal relief, no matter your location."
