Physicians Formula CFO to depart

December 14th, 2011

AZUSA, Calif. – Jeff Berry has resigned his position as chief financial officer at Physicians Formula Holdings Inc.

The cosmetics and skin care product maker said Wednesday that Berry is leaving the company "to pursue other professional interests" and is slated to exit his post on Jan. 13.

A search for his replacement is under way, according to Physicians Formula.

"We want to thank Jeff for his service to Physicians Formula, and we wish him the best in his new endeavors," stated Ingrid Jackel, chairman and chief executive officer of Physicians Formula.

"Jeff had been a member of our board of directors from 2007 to 2009 but stepped off the board to serve as CFO to help me restore the company to financial health," Jackel commented. "After almost three years of working together, we are now well-positioned for attractive growth and profitability in 2012, and it is now time for Jeff to return to his original career path. As we begin the search for his replacement, I am excited about the opportunities ahead to leverage our current successes and focus on our growth strategy."

Physicians Formula's makeup and skin care offerings are targeted at the mass-market prestige channel, or "masstige" space. Its products, designed to address skin imperfections through a problem-solving approach, are sold at such chains as CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart and Target.
