McKesson to distribute BlueScience to pharmacies

January 26th, 2012

IRVINE, Calif. – McKesson Corp. is slated to distribute BluScience dietary supplements from ChromaDex Corp. to about 4,000 community pharmacies.

ChromaDex said Wednesday that under the agreement, McKesson will distribute three BluScience supplement products to independent pharmacies: HeartBlu, EternalBlu and Blu2Go.

HeartBlu helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels and supports cardiovascular health, while EternalBlu supports cellular health and offers anti-aging properties, according to ChromaDex. Blu2Go is designed to provide a sustained energy boost and support focus and mental clarity.

Earlier this month, ChromaDex unveiled retail distribution deals for BluScience with Walgreen Co. and its drugstore.com online subsidiary.

"The nationwide launch of BluScience continues to gain momentum," ChromaDex chief executive officer Jeff Himmel commented. "These outlets complemented our initial launch into GNC. Through our new relationship with McKesson, we add approximately 4,000 independent drug stores and pharmacies selling BluScience. We expect BluScience to be available in more than 25,000 retail stores by year-end 2012, as well as through major online retailers."
