January 31st, 2012
PLANO, Texas – Sales and marketing specialist Crossmark has formed a new business unit for the drug and value retail channels.
The company said Tuesday that the new Crossmark Drug and Value Business Unit is dedicated to providing growth solutions for manufacturer and retailer clients in these two strategic channels.
Alex Yakulis, who has more than 30 years of industry experience and significant experience in the drug and value channels, has been named to head the new business unit as vice president and general manager. He previously worked with clients in those channels as Crossmark's vice president of business development.
The drug and value channels are pivotal for consumer packaged goods marketers as they seek to draw shoppers who prefer shopping in small formats in convenient locations, Yakulis noted.
"Crossmark will provide strategic headquarters and analytical support to assist clients in achieving their desired outcomes," he stated. "This will be complemented by retail merchandising support at more than 40,000 retail locations in these two channels."
Yakulis is active on a number of industry boards, including the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Retail Advisory Board, the GMDC Board of Directors, and the CHPA Business Development Committee. He also serves as chairman of the NACDS Industry Issues and Projects Committee and the GMDC Membership Advisory Board.
