May 14th, 2012
NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. – Janick Boudazin has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Boiron Inc.
The maker of homeopathic medicines said Monday that Boudazin, 44, will focus on developing Boiron's key brands, such as Oscillococcinum for flu symptoms and Arnicare for natural pain relief, in the United States.
Previously was director of medical development, Boudazin brings extensive product and operational knowledge to his new role, along with a dedication to homeopathy, according to Boiron.
"There is a rising awareness of homeopathy happening nationwide," Janick said in a statement. "Health care professionals, especially pediatricians and nurses, are embracing natural medicines more and more. Consumers are looking for safe, natural and reliable choices when it comes to treatment options for themselves and their family members. Homeopathic medicines fulfill this important niche."
Janick joined Laboratoires Boiron, the parent of Boiron Inc., in 1995 as an intern while finishing his doctorate of pharmacy degree at Nantes University in France. In 1999, he transferred to the U.S. and worked as the branch manager before becoming the director of medical development.
Other Boiron brands include Chestal (cough), Coldcalm (colds), Calendula (burns, scrapes and skin irritations), Sabadil (allergies) and Acidil (indigestion), among others.
