TheraPearl teams up with NFL Players Association

June 15th, 2012

WASHINGTON – Hot and cold therapy product maker TheraPearl has entered a licensing pact with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA)

TheraPearl said Friday that its products are designed to aid in post-workout recovery, making them a natural solution for the NFLPA and pro football players everywhere.

The company aims to educate consumers about the proper use of and benefits from hot and cold therapy in various forms of training.

TheraPearl product lineup includes packs in a range of shapes and sizes that can be chilled or heated to provide targeted therapy, as well as specialty athletic recovery products such as adjustable shin wraps, shoulder and knee wraps. The packs are designed to easily conform to the body when frozen, allowing for maximum therapy. And when heated, the conformable packs help stimulate blood flow plus relax and soothe stiff muscles.

"We're thrilled to partner with the NFLPA in developing products that impact a player's training and recovery," commented Daniel Baumwald, president of TheraPearl. "Our products maximize targeted hot-and-cold therapy and are uniquely designed for athletes and athlete recovery. We are happy to make this technology available to the NFL players for whom recovery is such a crucial part of the game."

TheraPearl noted that its products were on display last month at the 2012 NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, where 35 of the top NFL rookies experienced the products' benefits in the TheraPearl cooling, relaxation and massage tent. The company said its technology has appealed to a wide range of celebrities and athletes, including current and former NFL players.

"Health and safety is a great concern for all professional football players," stated Keith Gordon, president of NFL Players Inc., the NFLPA's licensing and marketing subsidiary. "We are pleased to take on an innovative company like TheraPearl as an official licensee. Proper recovery between practice and games is a crucial piece of staying healthy, and TheraPearl technology aims to enhance and maximize the recovery process. We hope that both players and fans will embrace their products."
