Not Your Mother's supports breast cancer organization
July 19th, 2012
TAMPA, Fla. – Not Your Mother's hair care plans to donate 10% of all of its online sales during October to the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The company said that in addition to the donation through business on its nymbrands.com website, it aims to support YSC and help raise awareness via its social media network, as well as offer promotions and giveaways.
The Young Survival Coalition is a global organization dedicated to helping young women diagnosed with breast cancer.
"We partnered with YSC because we want to help spread their important message among our young customers," stated Bethany Pagliarulo, owner of Not Your Mother's. "Contrary to common belief, young women do get breast cancer and generally face more aggressive cancers and lower survival rates."
Not Your Mother's, part of Demert Brands Inc., said it targets a young, trend-savvy audience with innovative, top-performing products at an affordable price point. The line is known for eye-catching graphics, "quirky" product names and playful descriptions, and it's sold at more than 10,000 U.S. retail locations and in Australia.
Its hair care products include shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, detangler, hair mist, and hair styling cream and powder under such names as Knotty to Nice, Miss Freeze, Way to Grow, She's a Tease, All Eyes on Me, Clean Freak, Beat the Heat, Rise & Shine, Beach Babe, Smooth Moves, Kinky Moves and Girl Powder.
