AmLactin launches redesigned website

September 6th, 2012

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – AmLactin has revamped its LittleRedBumps.com website as part of the brand's Ultra Skin Performance campaign.

The Upsher-Smith Laboratories skin care brand said Thursday that LittleRedBumps.com features the expertise of leading New York cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Doris Day and five-time Olympian and mother Dara Torres to give dry skin sufferers tips on striving for beautiful skin at any age.

The website features "The Fundamentals of Fit Skin" supporting healthy skin from the inside, out and educates visitors about keratosis pilaris, a skin condition that affects 40% of adults and causes "little red bumps."

Exclusive content such as the "Skin Care Style" quiz and "Smooth Talk," a video series hosted by Dr. Day, engages users of all ages on their quest for dry skin relief, according to AmLactin. Littleredbumps.com also features fun, original, free music and keeps visitors up to date on the latest news from AmLactin, including publicity, product reviews and links to coupons.

"We want to make the Littleredbumps.com visitor experience even richer and more meaningful by sharing tips from our expert brand ambassadors, Dr. Doris Day and Dara Torres," stated Glenn MacEachern, director of product marketing for AmLactin. "Our goal is to continue to entertain visitors while giving them access to insights from two of the most accomplished women in their fields."

AmLactin moisturizers contain alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), which are effective at exfoliating and hydrating the skin. The brand's formulas also contain emollients and humectants to help retain the skin's natural moisture and draw water to the skin so it looks and feels soft and smooth. The line includes AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion, AmLactin Ultra Hydrating Body Cream for severe dry skin and AmLactin Foot Cream. AmLactin Ultra Hydrating Body Cream is specially formulated for severe, persistently dry skin areas that need extra attention. It contains the advanced, patented Ultraplex formula that gently exfoliates and is clinically proven to intensely hydrate for long-lasting moisture, the company said.
