Pharmavite debuts Voots, its first brand for kids
October 22nd, 2012
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Pharmavite has launched Voots Veggie-Fruit Tarts, a fruit- and vegetable-based dietary supplement for children.
The company said Monday that Voots Veggie-Fruit Tarts — its first brand for kids — are designed for children age 4 and older and provide the vitamin C antioxidant power of three servings of fruits and vegetables in two chewable berry-flavored tarts.
Voots supplements are made with 11 fruits and vegetables — apples, cranberries, oranges, prunes, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, carrots, sweet potatoes, zucchinis and green beans — that have been dried and crushed. After being mixed with vitamin C and other ingredients, the blend is pressed into tablets for a good-tasting supplement that delivers an antioxidant boost for kids, according to Pharmavite.
Pharmavite reported that Voots supplements contain 60 mg of vitamin C per serving, compared with an average vitamin C content of 19 mg per serving for the top 20 most commonly consumed fruits and the top 20 most commonly consumed vegetables.
"The introduction of the Voots Brand showcases the company's commitment to expanding its product offerings for people of all ages," stated Erin O’Malia Gehan, vice president of marketing at Pharmavite. "This is Pharmavite's first children's brand, and we are proud to be able to help busy parents provide their kids with a boost of antioxidants in the form of delicious tarts that kids will love."
Voots Veggie-Fruit Tarts have no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives and come in convenient, single-serve packets so that kids can take them anytime, including in the morning, with dinner or on the go in lunch boxes and backpacks.
Pharmavite said Voots Veggie-Fruit Tarts are available now at select Sam's Clubs and Target stores nationwide. The suggested retail price is $9.99 for a 14-count carton.
