Goody's introduces headache relief shot

June 10th, 2013

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Goody's has added a headache relief shot to its line of fast-acting headache powders.

The shot comes in berry and citrus flavors.

Prestige Brands Holdings Inc. said Monday that Goody's Headache Relief Shot represents a breakthrough in headache pain relief. The shot combines the pain relievers acetaminophen and caffeine in a fast-acting, single-dose liquid.

The portable, all-in-one formula also is easier to take and more convenient than pills, enabling quick relief anytime and anyplace, according to Prestige Brands.

Goody's Headache Relief Shot comes in packages of two, with each two-ounce bottle containing 1,000 mg of acetaminophen and 65 mg of caffeine. It is available in citrus and berry flavors.

"We believe the Goody's Headache Relief Shot is truly a game-changer in pain relief," stated Joseph Juliano, brand director for Goody's. "There is no other product like it on the market. It contains proven ingredients that we know are effective in reducing pain and delivers them in a quick, easy-to-drink shot. One dose of this fast-action liquid and you can stop worrying about a headache and be on the go again."

Goody's is a leading analgesic brand in the Southeast, Prestige Brands said. The company noted that NASCAR racing star Dale Earnhardt Jr. will play a major role in the Goody's Headache Relief Shot marketing campaign, including appearing in advertising, social media and retail promotions.

Goody's Headache Relief Shot will be sold at major retailers throughout the Southeast and nationally at Walmart, Walgreens and Dollar General.
