Zarbee’s adds to natural cough syrup lineup

January 7th, 2014

SALT LAKE CITY – Zarbee's has expanded its line of natural cough remedies for children with three new products that soothe babies as young as 2 months.

The company said Tuesday that Zarbee's Naturals Baby Cough Syrup is formulated with agave syrup for the same clinical benefits notable in honey, without the bacterial concern for babies younger than 12 months.

In addition to suppressing coughs and coating the throat with clinically proven effective dark honey, Zarbee's has introduced Zarbee's Children's Nighttime Cough Syrups that includes 0.5 mg of plant-sourced melatonin to foster sleep in kids ages 2 and older.

And to help treat the one in three children who get wet coughs each year, Zarbee's has unveiled Zarbee's Cough Syrup + Mucus, which the company said contains natural ivy leaf extract to help thin mucus and relax throat muscles for better clearance.

"As a father of four small boys, I can relate to my patient's frustrations over not being able to offer a natural remedy for the sniffles, sore throats and sneezes that accompany the common cold," stated Dr. Zak Zarbock, a Utah-based pediatrician and founder of Zarbee's. "The smaller your children, the more heart-breaking it is to watch them suffer. Formulating something that works for even the littlest members of the household was a top priority."

Zarbee’s products are available nationwide at such food and drug retailers as Walgreens, CVS/pharmacy, Rite Aid, Walmart, Target, Kroger, H-E-B, Meijer, Harris Teeter, and ShopRite.
